Traffic signal at SW 107 Avenue and SW 8 Street will be
out of service for electrical repairs on Saturday, February 8, 2014
(MIAMI-DADE, February 3, 2014) – The traffic signal controlling the intersection of SW 107 Avenue and SW 8 Street will be disabled in order for Public Works and Waste Management (PWWM) maintenance crews to make necessary repairs to the signal’s electrical wiring. The signal will be out of service on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
While the signal is being repaired, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol will be present at the intersection to direct and control traffic. To avoid traffic delays associated with the signal outage, motorists are encouraged to travel on the following alternate roadways:
- SW 87 Avenue
- SW 97 Avenue
- SW 109 Avenue
- Homestead Extension of the Florida Turnpike
- Coral Way (SW 24 St)
- Flagler Street
If motorists must travel through the intersection during the outage, they are asked to factor in additional travel time to reach their destination.
