Construction is anticipated to be completed by April 26, 2014. For more information regarding this project, please visit the website at http://www.bearcutbridge.com/. Mainline Closure: Bear Cut Bridge: Westbound traffic (2 lanes) will be on the newly constructed northern half of the bridge. Traffic heading eastbound will stay in the current location. Along with the motorists being relocated, pedestrians and bicyclists will now use the new 14-foot-wide shared-use path on the northern side of the bridge. Please note that there will no longer be SHARED-USE LANES. All pedestrians and bicyclists are requested to use the 14-foot-wide shared-use path. This will allow traffic to move freely across Bear Cut. Signs will be posted near the University Of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science directing pedestrians and bicyclists heading eastbound to cross to the northern side of the road. Signs will be posted across from the Marina directing pedestrians and bicyclists to use the path in the parkland to access the 14-foot Shared-Use Path. Rickenbacker Toll Plaza and West Bridge: All of the toll plaza lanes will be opened and the West Bridge will be completely open to traffic.
