Approved Redevelopment Areas

The Board of County Commissioners has approved the creation of 13 community redevelopment areas that are governed by the Community Redevelopment and Economic Policy Analysis Division boards and overseen by the County.

Florida City

e Florida City Community Redevelopment Area is in the central core of the City and generally encompasses the City’s primary commercial and industrial corridors as well as the northwest residential neighborhood.

Homestead

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the City of Homestead and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

Miami Beach

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the the City of Miami Beach and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

Midtown

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the Midtown Miami and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

Naranja Lakes

Naranja Lakes is poised for new growth that may well be precedent-setting model for future neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County. The first step in this process is the new community of Mandarin Lakes under development on 212-acres of vacant property that is part of the Naranja Lakes Community Redevelopment Area.

North Miami

The North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency is an independent government agency that was fully established in 2005 by the City of North Miami and Miami-Dade County.

North Miami Beach

The City of North Miami Beach has a fully operational Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).

NW 7th Avenue Corridor

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the 7th Avenue Corridor and to create a more vibrant and commercially viable economy along this uniquely situated corridor adjacent to the I-95 highway.

NW 79th Street Corridor

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the NW 79 Street Corridor and to create a better place to live and work

Omni District

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the City of Miami - Omni District and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

Opa-locka

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the Opa-locka area and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

Southeast Overtown / Park West

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the NW 79 Street Corridor and to create a better place to live and work.

South Miami

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the City of South Miami and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

West Perrine

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the West Perrine area and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.
