Unincorporated Redevelopment Areas

Four community redevelopment agencies operate in the unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County. The Board of County Commissioners has designated citizens boards as governing bodies of three of the four agencies, and retain the role as governing body of the fourth.

Naranja Lakes

Naranja Lakes is poised for new growth that may well be precedent-setting model for future neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County. The first step in this process is the new community of Mandarin Lakes under development on 212-acres of vacant property that is part of the Naranja Lakes Community Redevelopment Area.

NW 7th Avenue Corridor

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the 7th Avenue Corridor and to create a more vibrant and commercially viable economy along this uniquely situated corridor adjacent to the I-95 highway.

West Perrine

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the West Perrine area and to create a better neighborhood to live, work and play.

NW 79th Street Corridor

An urban initiative to stimulate and guide the redevelopment of the NW 79 Street Corridor and to create a better place to live and work.
