The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department shares a renewed focus -- Quality, Value and Economic Growth

MIAMI (July 30, 2015)

Quality. Value. Economic growth. These four words will now be synonymous with our vision to serve the 2.3 million Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) customers. As WASD embarks on a 13.5 billion Capital Improvement Program, the renewed focus represents the promise WASD has for customers and visitors alike.
“Quality refers to the high standard of drinking water and wastewater services we provide our customers and the level of customer service we give daily. Value refers to the good buy customers get when you compare the cost of our water to the cost of bottled water and to the cost other utilities charge their customers. Economic Growth refers to the Capital Improvement Program which will result in the creation of over 16,470 new jobs during the next decade, increase service capacity that will support more businesses to open in the community, improve the reliability and sustainability of the water and sewer system, as well as generate $24.9 billion in economic growth,” explains WASD Director Lester Sola.
Through consistent messaging and communication via social media and community outreach, WASD’s goal is to keep residents informed and engaged as positive strides are made to improve infrastructure and provide an economic stimulus to as many businesses as possible.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit
