Miami-Dade County Animal Services partners with NBC 6 South Florida and Telemundo 51 for Clear the Shelter

MIAMI (August 10, 2015)

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, Miami-Dade Animal Services (Animal Services) is partnering with NBC 6 South Florida/WTVJ, Telemundo 51/WSCV, and other shelters across South Florida for “Clear the Shelters,” a nationwide pet adoption initiative to find every shelter pet a loving forever family.

Animal Services will be waiving adoption fees on all dogs and cats. Adoption includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. Adopter will only be responsible for the $27 licensing fee.

Throughout the week, NBC 6 South Florida and Telemundo 51 will be broadcasting special programming for “Clear the Shelters” day to English and Spanish-speaking viewers, with NBC 6 South Florida’s “6 in the Mix” broadcasting live remotely from  Animal Services on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 11:30 a.m.
