Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department Director Lester Sola to speak at Florida Water Forum
Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) Director Lester Sola will be a panelist at the Sixth Annual Florida Water Forum taking place Sept. 24th-25th in Orlando. This meeting will provide participants with the most current information from Florida’s policy leaders in the legislature and local and state governments on issues relating to water policy.
Experts and policy makers in the industry will serve as guest speakers and panelists and will provide the status of on-going, critical water issues facing our state. Sola will be speaking on the panel discussing South Florida Water Quality and Quantity Challenges during the breakout session at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 24th.
“I am looking forward to this opportunity to share with the public and members of other local governments and utilities the success WASD has had with improving Miami-Dade County’s water conservation efforts, which allows us to protect our water resources for current and future demands,” said Sola.
“This is a challenging, as well as exciting time as the department continues to plan for the future with the strategic enhancements and improvements we will be undertaking as a part of WASD’s $13.5 billion Capital Improvement Program,” he added.
