Miami-Dade County, UF/IFAS Extension 4-H Youth Development Program's "Archery Classes"

MIAMI (October 14, 2015)

Miami-Dade County 4-H is conducting a six-week program to teach youth about the physics and the art of archery. In addition, they will learn life skills such as focus, responsibility and respect.  If you are interested, then register at the link below. 4-H archery is for youth ages 8-18.  For more information, contact 4-H Agent Jeramy A. Location: Phil’s Berry Farm, 13955 SW 248th Street, Homestead, FL 33032

Time: 9:30-11 a.m.

Cost: $40 per student for all classes

Limit: 20 students

Requirements for participation: Youth must be between the ages of 8-18 and sign up as a 4-H member at the 4-H Membership enrollment link:

Week 1 – Saturday, October 24 (Equipment, Safety and Range Commands)

Week 2 – Saturday, October 31 (Proper Shooting Form)

Week 3 – Saturday, November 7 (STEM: Physics of Archery & Experiments)

Week 4 – Saturday, November 14 (Instinctive Shooting w/a High Anchor)

Week 5 – Saturday, November 28 (Shooting with Sights)

Week 6 – Saturday, December 5 (Determining Target Distances)
