Bike by the bay: a share-the-road, community awareness bike ride

MIAMI (October 16, 2015)

The Village of Palmetto Bay is hosting a share-the-road safety awareness bike ride on Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm, sponsored by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to learn about the laws, while giving residents an opportunity to enjoy a guided bike ride around the Village. Join us to learn, first hand, how automobiles and cyclists can and should get along on the road.

Starting at the the Deering Estate Visitor Center parking lot off SW 168 Street, the family-fun ride traverses neighborhoods along beautiful Biscayne Bay before circling back to the Visitor Center where participants and members of the general public will enjoy a free, safety-awareness event complete with information booths, bike maintenance checks, a kids' bike rodeo, and a free BBQ.

Riders are encouraged to RSVP or call 305-259-1234 and fax a completed registration form to 305-259-1290.
