Miami-Dade County Consumer Protection to host free Small Claims Court Clinic on Nov. 4
Clinic sponsored by Commissioner Juan C. Zapata
The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), Office of Consumer Protection, will host a free Small Claims Court Clinic at noon, Wednesday, November 4, at the West Kendall Regional Library. This clinic is sponsored by District 11 Commissioner Juan C. Zapata.
The clinic will provide participants with hands-on instruction and assistance in how to file a claim in the County’s Small Claims Court, including a Q&A session.
Small Claims Court is used by individuals who want to address disputes involving $5,000 or less without the costly burden of having to hire an attorney. The Small Claims Court Clinic will be led by RER’s Office of Consumer Protection Consumer Advocate, Holly Beth Billington.
For questions about this event or for additional information, contact RER’s Office of Consumer Protection at 786-469-2333 or visit the division’s website.
