Ribbon-Cutting and Re-Opening Ceremony to Celebrate Completion of Miami Avenue Bridge Improvement Project

MIAMI (November 30, 2015)

Today, November 30, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, Chairman Jean Monestime, the Board of County Commissioners, and the Miami-Dade Public Works and Waste Management Department (PWWM) will host a ribbon-cutting and re-opening ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Miami Avenue Bridge Improvement Project.  The project included replacing the old bridge surface with a new bike-friendly grating.  

Who:
Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, District 5 Commissioner Bruno Barreiro, and officials from Miami-Dade County are scheduled to attend and expected to speak.
What:
Ribbon-cutting and re-opening ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Miami Avenue Bridge Improvement Project. As this is an outdoor event, attendees are advised to wear appropriate shoes and attire.
When:
November 30, 2015 — 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Where:
South of the Miami Avenue Bridge (approximately S Miami Avenue and SE 6th Street). Parking is limited; attendees are advised to take the Metromover’s Brickell Loop to the Fifth Street Station and walk one block south and one block west to the bridge.
