Winter Camp at the Deering Estate
Children, ages 6-14, will learn about the native and introduced reptiles and fish that inhabit the Everglades and South Florida at the Deering Estate's Winter Camp. From geckos to pythons, and minnows to sharks, Florida contains a wide range of reptiles and fish. Deering Estate Campers will explore the cold-blooded and find out how they adapt to the chilly season.
Session 1: "Reptiles"

Session 2: "Fish"
Monday - Wednesday, December 28-30, 2015

Camp is held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Before care is from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. Pick-up is from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and late pick-up is available for an additional fee.
The 450+ acre Deering Estate is an environmental, archaeological and historical preserve. From canoe tours to bird walks and guided nature hikes, the Deering Estate has diverse activities for the whole family to enjoy. The Estate is part of the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department, which manages the Estate on behalf of the State of Florida.
