Miami-Dade County Animal Services and Bird Road Subaru partner to ''Share the Love'' and find homes for homeless pets
Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) will join the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Subaru of America, Inc. for the annual year-end Subaru “Share the Love” event and celebration, which runs through January 2, 2016.
As part of this national effort, Animal Services and Bird Road Subaru have teamed up to host a pet adoption event this Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bird Road Subaru dealership 7240 Bird Rd. Miami, FL 33155.
Adoption fees are waived for all shelter pets, made possible by a $2,500 grant from the ASPCA®. All pets adopted at the event are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed and given age-appropriate vaccines. Adopter will be responsible for $27 license fee.
For every new Subaru purchased or leased during the “Share the Love” event, Subaru donates $250 to the purchaser/lessee’s choice of participating charities, one of which is the ASPCA®. Animal Services is pleased to be a recipient of one of these grants.
“Our partnership with the ASPCA® has given us an opportunity to continue to save the lives of shelter pets,” said Alex Muñoz, Director of Miami-Dade Animal Services. “We are grateful for the funds provided which helps us expand our programs and reach our no kill goal in Miami-Dade County.”
