Lillie M. Williams donates toys to 96 Head Start children
Lillie M. Williams and friends from the Palace Group Assisted Living Center kicked off the season of giving by delivering toys to 96 children attending the Lillie M. Williams Head Start Center on Thursday, December 10. The children were thrilled to receive their holiday gifts and surprised their guests with special performances, including reading poems and singing songs in English, Creole and Spanish.
The Lillie M. Williams Head Start center opened in the Fall of 2014 and provides high quality early childhood education to 96 young students, ages 0-5. The toy giveaway was coordinated by the Community Action Agency Foundation, Ms. Williams, the Palace Group Assisted Living Center and the Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) Head Start program.
