Call to artists for "Affair en Plein Air" a two-day outdoor juried painting event at the Deering Estate
A call to artists is currently available for "Affair En Plein Air," a two-day outdoor juried painting experience, with partner GroveHouse Artists, at the Deering Estate on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Judging will take place on Sunday, February 7th at 1:00 pm. The event is juried by Marcelle Zanetti. Competitive and non-competitive categories are available. Monetary and non-monetary prizes will be awarded by juror.
$35 Adult registration fee for Non-GroveHouse Artists (up to 2 pieces)
$25 Adult registration fee for GroveHouse Artists members (up to 2 pieces)
$25 High school students, Grades 9-12, with one chaperone (up to 2 pieces)
$15 Non-competitive entry fee (one or two day participation)
Light snacks, coffee and water will be provided. Please bring a lunch and all supplies.
Artists interested in participating in the two-day outdoor juried painting event must complete a formal application available on the Deering Estate website. The entry form and registration fee must be returned to GroveHouse Artists by Saturday, January 30, 2016. About the Juror:
Marcelle Zanetti was born in Massachusetts, earned degrees in Painting and Art Education at University of Massachusetts, and Southern Connecticut State University. Zanetti has been exhibited in curated shows at the Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art, the Philharmonic Museum in Naples, the Scarfone-Hartley Gallery at the University of Tampa, and Jacksonville University among other venues and commercial opportunities.
