The 8th Annual Every Drop Counts Poster Contest is now open

MIAMI (December 23, 2015)

Miami-Dade County elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to participate in Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s (WASD) 8th Annual Every Drop Counts Kids Poster Contest. Using this year's theme, It Starts With Water - Conserve It, students can illustrate the benefits of water and energy conservation – and get a free T-shirt, with a chance to win other prizes!
One winning entry will be selected from each of the 13 County Commission Districts. The top posters will be awarded prizes and featured in the 2017 Every Drop Counts Water Conservation calendar.
The Every Drop Counts Kids Poster Contest showcases the creative talents of several thousand local students. The contest is one of the measures of Miami-Dade's Water-Use Efficiency Plan public outreach program, which features D-Rop, the Miami-Dade water conservation mascot. The winners will be recognized at a Board of County Commissioners meeting and may receive additional prizes.
