Marathon runners to stay hydrated with Miami-Dade County's high quality H20

MIAMI (January 21, 2016)

It’s important for participants in the Miami Marathon to stay hydrated as they pound the pavement for either the 13.1 half-marathon or the full 26.2 miles this Sunday. That’s why the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is proud to partner with the Miami Marathon for the sixth year by providing its high quality drinking water to runners and walkers at various fire hydrant-connected water stations throughout the race.

Walkers, runners and cheering sections alike will know where they can quench their thirst when they see the department’s new Miami-Dade Water drinking water logo marking the 13 water stations throughout the course. See the new graphic.

Not only is the water delicious, but by utilizing the water stations with disposable cups, rather than plastic water bottles, it is a greener alternative for the community.

WASD’s drinking water meets or exceeds all federal, state and local drinking water standards, so drink up with confidence.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit the Water & Sewer Department website
