Miami-Dade Elections Department puts voting equipment to the test for the March 15, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary
The Miami-Dade County Elections Department will conduct a comprehensive examination of its voting equipment for the upcoming March 15, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary Election. As is customary prior to every election, the Department will thoroughly test voting equipment before use.
"This is just one of many procedures that the Department performs during the preparation of an election to ensure that voting equipment is ready for use at Early Voting and Election Day voting locations," said Supervisor of Elections Christina White.
The Department will conduct the "Logic and AccuracyTest" tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Elections Department Headquarters (2700 NW 87 Avenue, Miami, Florida 33172). Each step of the voting and tabulation process will be tested. Ballots will be cast according to a predetermined outcome, and then tabulated and reconciled to ensure the votes were accurately captured.
