Collectif Cooperation Export Martinique to open trade office in Miami-Dade County
The Office of Economic Development and International Trade (EDIT) in the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources announces the grand opening of a trade office by Collectif Cooperation Export (CCEM) of Martinique at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the Miami Free Zone.
For more than five years, EDIT has hosted numerous business delegations from Martinique and provided research analysis, business contact referrals and site selection recommendations. The invaluable trade and logistical assistance they provided led to CCEM’s decision to open their trade office in Miami-Dade County.
"We welcome CCEM to Miami-Dade County as a new foreign trade group that joins the more than 100 foreign consulates, foreign trade offices and bi-national chambers of commerce established here,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Giménez. “Organizations like these promote and facilitate international business and serve to reinforce our community’s international importance.”
"As the Chairman of the International Trade Consortium Board of Directors, I am honored to welcome CCEM to Miami-Dade County,” said Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz. “We had been working with CCEM and Extreme Chic from Martinique for several years on this project. I look forward to growing this partnership.”
