6th Annual Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival at Fruit & Spice Park, April 23 & 24
The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and the South Dade Garden Club present the 6th Annual Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival, Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24, 2016, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., at Fruit & Spice Park, 24801 SW 187th Ave., Homestead.
Come out and join us lakeside for some tantalizing BBQ and incredible blues music. Relax while strolling through the park or spread your blanket and gaze at the sky. There will be a multitude of children’s activities, including a petting zoo and pony rides; an incredible collection of classic cars.
Featured bands performing onstage throughout the weekend will include:“ Iko Iko,” “The Jay Blues Band,” “Shadow Creek,” “P.J. Aviles,” and “Juke.”
Festival admission is $8 per person and children under age 11 are admitted free with a paying adult.
The sponsors for the 6th Annual Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival will include Miami-Dade County, Budweiser, Walker Entertainment, and South Dade Garden Club. The 2016 Rib Vendors will include Smoke n’ Spice BBQ, M&M Barbecue and T&W BBQ. Additional vendors will include Conch Fritters, Funnel cakes and Snow Cones.

Fruit & Spice Park, operated by Miami-Dade Parks, grows more than 500 varieties of sub-tropical fruits, herbs, spices, vegetables and nuts from around the world on 39 lush acres in the agricultural Redland. The park offers daily botanical tours, fruit tasting and naturalist led workshops.
