Sunrise Photography at the Deering Estate
The Deering Estate offers an exciting program where you and several of your photography friends can take sunrise photos of Biscayne Bay. The June 19th program features a Solstice, an astronomical event that occurs twice each year (June & December), as the Sun reaches its highest or lowest excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere. In June the sun is at its northern most reach in reference to the boat basin at the Deering Estate.
Sunday, June 19, 2016 (Solstice), 5:30 am to 7:30 am
Sunday, July 17, 2016, 5:30 am to 7:30 am
Saturday, August 20, 2016, 6:00 am to 8:00 am
The cost is $20 per person for a 2-hour program, which also includes admission to the Estate during regular hours (10:00 am to 4:00 pm) on the same day.
Please note that you must register and pay in advance. There will not be an opportunity to pay on the day of the program. Registration is limited to the first 20 participants who register and pay in advance. For more information, or to register, please visit the Deering Estate website or call 305-235-1668 ext. 233.
