Miami-Dade County Internal Services Department is the recipient of this year's NIGP's Innovations in Public Procurement Award

MIAMI (June 03, 2016)

The Miami-Dade County Internal Services Department (ISD) has been selected as the 2016 recipient of the NIGP's Innovations Award for their Automated Architecture and Engieering Pre-Qualification Program.  This award recognizes outstanding contributions in the field of public procurement by governmental agencies that have developed cutting-edge, non-standard, forward thinking approaches to meeting the needs of the customers they serve.

ISD implemented an automated, web-based solution to accept and process pre-qualification and technical certification applications for Architectural and Engineering firms that do business with the County.  "This is ISD's first ever innovations award," said Tara Smith, ISD Director.  "I am very proud of our procurement professionals, who are always looking for ways to make it easier to do business with the County."

This innovation will be presented at the NIGP National Forum in National Harbor, Maryland and the Miami-Dade County Internal Services Department will be recognized as one of the prominent, trend-setting governmental entities willing to share its programs and successes with colleagues in the public procurement profession.  Visit NIGP for more details.
