Traffic Advisory update for the area along SW 152 Street

MIAMI (June 08, 2016)

Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) crews continue working on the new 36-inch water transmission line in the area of Southwest 152nd street (between SW 112 – 137 avenues).

The project began in February 2016 and is so far 28 percent complete.  The final completion date is scheduled for March 30, 2017. Once installed, the new water main will provide better pressure and expand the reliability of the WASD water distribution system in the area.

At this time, the lane closures remain the same. During the hours of 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., the eastbound, far left lane along Southwest 152nd street, from the avenues of 117 to 137 will be closed.  During the hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the two far left lanes will be closed in the same eastbound area. There is no interruption of water services due to this construction.

This new 36-inch water transmission line is part of the department’s ongoing $13.5 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP), the largest in Miami-Dade County’s history, to improve the water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the County.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, click here.
