Reminder: Saving Kittens' Lives Workshop to be held at new Animal Services Pet Adoption and Protection Center

MIAMI (June 14, 2016)

Miami-Dade County Animal Services is hosting a special Saving Kittens' Lives Workshop led by Hannah Shaw—also known as Kitten Lady—on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To register for the workshop, please RSVP via the Facebook event page.

The workshop is free and provides educational media and training resources on how to save the lives of the tiniest felines -- in a fun and engaging format.  Kitten Lady is a nonprofit rescue and advocacy project with a mission to change the world for neonatal kittens.

Hannah Shaw is a dedicated animal advocate and nonprofit director with over a decade in the animal protection field. She is also known for her charitable project Rock to the Rescue, which she runs with her father, Tommy Shaw of Styx.

“We are looking forward to having Ms. Shaw inaugurate the educational court at our new facility with her wonderful, life saving workshop,” said Alex Muñoz, Director of Miami-Dade County Animal Services. “This will be the first of many more community educational programs on pet care to come.”
