Miami-Dade County Consumer Protection to host free Small Claims Court Clinic on August 4
The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), Office of Consumer Protection, will host a free Small Claims Court Clinic at noon, Thursday, August 4, at the John D. Campbell Agricultural Center in Homestead.
The clinic will provide participants with hands-on instruction and assistance in how to file a claim in the County’s Small Claims Court, including a Q&A session.
Small Claims Court is used by individuals who want to address disputes involving $5,000 or less without the costly burden of having to hire an attorney. The Small Claims Court Clinic will be led by Consumer Advocate Holly Beth Billington.
