Walk among beautiful butterflies at the Deering Estate
Discover More of the Deering Estate and explore various habitats in search of Dina Yellow, Dingy Purplewing and Atala butterflies, among others, at the Summer Butterfly Walk this Saturday, July 23, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 8, Daniella Levine Cava, will join guests on the butterfly walk to support the Mayors' Monarch Pledge and Miami-Dade Parks' commitment to create habitat and educate citizens to make a difference to help the monarch butterfly and other pollinators. This new campaign will work with mayors and local government chief executives nationwide to help save the monarch butterfly, an iconic species whose populations have declined by 90% in the last 20 years.
Additonal Butterfly Walks will be offered on August 27 & September 24, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, and are free with Estate admission: $12 for adults & $7 for children (ages 4-14).
