Miami-Dade's newly relaunched Transit Tracker iPhone app makes getting around the County easier to navigate in real-time
Riding transit just got a whole lot easier. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announced this morning our newly re-designed Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app. Now with more updates like real-time Metrobus and Metrorail tracking.
The relaunch of the mobile application is everything users love about the original program, with a fresh look. Additional new features include: a new support tab for any inquiring minds, cleaner design for simpler navigation, more options within the Nearby tab, and the inclusion of municipal trolley schedules in the Trip Planner feature. Follow your bus along its route as it makes stops and be alerted of any delays or changes in service right from the palm of your hand.
"The app has all the information anyone would need to use transit," said Alice N. Bravo, P.E., Director of DTPW. "The look and feel of the app is much cleaner, so we believe it will be easier -- more fun, even -- to navigate. And with the integration of municipal trolley schedules, riders will be able to get a complete description of how to get from point A to point B by a certain time."
The Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app first launched in September 2011 and has been downloaded over 367,000 times from 133 different countries/territories. This will be the 14th version of the program.
We’re with you every stop of the way.

In order to celebrate this relaunch, the Department will be conducting a unique giveaway. Winners will receive an EASY Card pre-loaded with a 7-Day pass in order to encourage new ridership. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more details.
"We want to invite people to try transit to see how they can make better use of their time and leave the driving to us!" added Bravo.
