Miami-Dade County offers convenient Early Voting opportunities for the Presidential Election
With the presidential election only 68 days away, Miami-Dade County would like to remind voters that we are Election Ready for the November 8, 2016 Presidential Election.
Commensurate with the type of election, Miami-Dade County voters will have access to maximum Early Voting availability allowable by law. To that end, the County will offer:
- 14 full days of Early Voting, including the Sunday before Election Day, for a total of 12-hours per day (Monday, October 24 through Sunday, November 6, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm each day)
- 30 sites, offering 50% more sites than the previous presidential general election
- More efficient allocation of personnel, equipment and supplies across all Early Voting sites
Since 2013, the Elections Department has sought ways to offer more convenient and efficient voting opportunities commensurate with the public interest in a given election.
Christina White, Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections, added: “Our voters will access more sites than ever before, as well as the maximum number of days and hours of operation to ensure our voters are afforded every opportunity to Vote Early.”
