Statement from the Department of Transportation and Public Works regarding Orange Line Metrorail service

MIAMI (September 28, 2016)

The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) strives to continuously evaluate and improve the transit service we provide to Miami-Dade’s residents and visitors.  DTPW would like to address any misinformation or concerns regarding the Orange Line Metrorail service.  The Orange Line Metrorail service to Miami International Airport will continue to operate as it has and currently does today.

In March, the weekend Orange Line Metrorail service to Miami International Airport was improved, increasing the frequency from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes - making it that much easier to travel by Metrorail directly to Miami International Airport. 

Our patrons can rest assured that any planned changes to operations or services are always announced well in advance to allow for our visitors and residents to plan accordingly.  We encourage everyone to visit our website for the latest information on all the ways that we are continuously working to improve public transportation for Miami-Dade County’s residents and visitors.
