It's fall- get out and ride with Miami-Dade Parks' Bike305!
With the fall weather upon us, the Miami-Dade Parks’ Bike305 initiative wants to encourage you and your family to get on your bikes and ride! Whether you are an avid cyclist or just want to enjoy a leisurely ride with your family, Bike305 has opportunities for all levels of riders to enjoy a safe bike ride. Rides take place throughout the County most weekends and are open and free to all.
Bike305 is a collaborative effort that partners with 21 municipalities, cycling clubs and many other health-related organizations which believe in the benefits of cycling and want to provide safe, connected bikeways for the entire community. Bike305 strives to promote a healthy lifestyle while fostering a bike-friendly community that encourages cycling as an alternative mode of transportation. Bike305 also helps to address the problem of obesity by providing year-round opportunities to participate in activities and bike rides that promote healthy lifestyles encourage exercise.

SPECIAL NOTE: ORDINANCE No. 16-58, NEW PARK RULE BANNING POLYSTYRENE (STYROFOAM) PRODUCTS IN PARKS AND BEACHES
Beginning July 1, 2017, all polystyrene products (Styrofoam) will be banned in parks and beaches. The ordinance prohibits persons from bringing any polystyrene item onto park property, such as coolers, plates, bowls, cups, lids, to-go containers, cutlery, tableware, boxes, bags, wrappings and others.
