City of Miami NET offices now offer Golden Passport services
For many elderly and veterans in our community, accessing County services can sometimes be a challenge.
That is why, as part of a test project, the Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works, in collaboration with the City of Miami Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET), is now offering three new convenient locations where local residents can easily access Golden Passport services and can register for a Golden Passport EASY Card or Patriot Passport EASY Card.
Qualifying senior Miami-Dade County residents can ride transit free with a Golden Passport EASY Card. Likewise, qualifying veterans can ride transit free with a Patriot Passport EASY Card.
The test project, which will start on Monday, November 14, 2016, is designed to bring County services closer to residents who need it the most by offering Golden Passport registration services at these locations:
- Little Haiti NET office:
6301 N.E. 2nd Ave.

This partnership is an excellent example of how municipalities and Miami-Dade County can partner to enhance and facilitate accessibility to transportation services for the benefit of our residents.
To plan a trip on transit, residents and visitors are encouraged to download the newly upgraded free Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app, which offers complete trip-planning information, as well as real-time information for approaching buses, Metrorail and Metromover vehicles.
The public also can visit the Department’s site, or speak with a Transit agent by calling 305-891-3131, Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Sundays and County-observed holidays.
