December 7 event at Miami-Dade County's Goulds Pineland Preserve to recognize significant support from The Nature Conservancy and TD Bank

MIAMI (December 05, 2016)

The Nature Conservancy in Florida, in collaboration with TD Bank, will hold an event at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016, to honor the TD Forests Program and its contribution to protect and manage Miami-Dade County’s Goulds Pineland Preserve.

Representatives from The Nature Conservancy, TD Bank and Miami-Dade County will announce the protection of the land at the event, which will also include an unveiling of the new Preserve sign and nature walk. Interviews with all partners will be available onsite, including representatives from The Nature Conservancy in Florida, Jim Howe from The Nature Conservancy’s Central and Western New York Chapter, and Pablo Pino from TD Bank.

Goulds Pineland Preserve, a critical 43-acre remnant of the endangered Miami rock ridge pinelands, is managed by the Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources’ Environmentally Endangered Lands Program.
