Start the New Year with an "older" best friend from Miami-Dade Animal Services

MIAMI (January 05, 2017)

Every New Year brings second chances. This New Year, give a senior dog or cat from Miami-Dade Animal Services a second chance at life and a loving home. From Jan. 1, 2017 to Feb. 28, 2017 adoption fees are waived for dogs and cats over 5 years old. Adopters will only be responsible for the $27 license fee for dogs. Senior pet adoptions may also include a $50 Petco Gift Card* courtesy of the Petco Foundation—while supplies last. (*Petco gift cards only available at the Doral shelter location.)

Older pets come with years of experience at being a furry best friend. Training a puppy or kitten has its rewards, but it takes time and patience, and a lot of chew toys! An older cat or dog will already be housebroken and knows what time to sleep, what to play with and it’s already fully grown which means no surprises.

Waived fee adoptions are available at the shelter located at 3599 NW 79 Avenue, Doral, FL 33122, the Petco Adoption Center in Partnership with Miami-Dade Animal Services, 6200 S Dixie Hwy, South Miami, FL 33143, select PetSmart locations and at all Animal Services adoption events in the community.

Pet adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, deworming, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip and FIV & FeLV testing for cats.
