Water line repair in Pinecrest temporarily affects water pressure in South Dade
The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) is proactively repairing a 48-inch water line in the Village of Pinecrest that will affect the greater South Dade community until the project is complete January 19th. The repair is located on Southwest 87th Avenue between Southwest 100 and 114th streets. There is no impact to traffic.
“Residents may notice lower than normal water pressure during the period the repairs are being made,” said WASD Director Lester Sola. “We are asking that residents conserve the water they use during the peak water demand hours of first thing in the morning and in the evening.
“This project is one of the hundreds that we will be completing during the next 15 to 20-years as part of our Capital Improvement Program that will result in enhanced capacity, increased water pressure and improved fire suppression capabilities.”
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit the department’s website.
