Tell Us What You Think! Miami-Dade County Complete Streets Open House

MIAMI (January 17, 2017)

Neat Streets Miami will hold a public forum on January 18, 2017 at the newly launched Biscayne Green to provide information on Miami-Dade’s Draft Complete Streets Design Guidelines and share virtual reality examples of Complete Streets that are being considered, planned, and implemented in the County. Attendees will also have the opportunity to try Virtual Reality Glasses to view examples of Complete Streets and enter for a chance to win a pair of their own.

This forum is an opportunity to gain information and prove feedback on the draft Miami-Dade Complete Streets Design Guidelines before they are finalized. The guidelines will provide policy and design guidance to all parties involved in street design projects: governmental agencies, consultants, private developers, and community groups.

Housed within the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, Neat Streets Miami started the Complete Streets initiative approximately two years ago. The Parks department supports the realization of Complete Streets through the creation of bike trails and connections to 270 parks across the County.

The Complete Streets initiative aims to create roads for all transportation modes, serving all people of all ages. During Wednesday’s open house, attendees will learn more about how this can be achieved and how this mission can be supported through the guidelines. For more information, visit:
