Miami-Dade County to launch 'Fraud Free Miami-Dade' campaign

MIAMI (January 31, 2017)

Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, along with Commissioner Dennis Moss, the Miami-Dade Police Department and Community Action and Human Services Department, are pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative called “Fraud Free Miami-Dade,” today, January 31, 2017, 10 a.m., at the Perrine Senior Center, 17801 Homestead Avenue.

Every year, people are victims to schemes and scams. Today's scams involve new technology, combined with the same old tricks. For example, someone may try to get you to send money or give out personal information. Visit the Fraud Free website for tips to keep you from becoming a victim and remaining fraud free.
