Continental Park Public Meeting
Thursday, February 23, 2017, 6:30 p.m.
The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, in collaboration with the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) Division of Environmental Resources Management (DERM), will be hosting a Public Meeting regarding the environmental findings and the status of a corrective action plan for Continental Park. The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., at Continental Park and Recreation Center, 10000 SW 82 Ave., Miami, FL 33156.
The meeting will address the findings from the Continental Park soil sampling. The sampling is a part of an ongoing effort to screen all parks located in the Miami-Dade Parks system for potential contamination. To date a total of 215 Miami-Dade Parks sites have been evaluated and determined to be safe for current public use.
