Christmas tree mulch now available for Miami-Dade County residents, while supplies last
Following the conclusion of the 2016 holiday season, the Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) collected used Christmas trees at several of their Trash and Recycling Center (TRC) locations. Those used trees have since been mulched, and now that mulch is being made available to Miami-Dade County residents free of charge.
Residents interested in picking up Christmas tree mulch must use their own bags or containers, and the mulch is available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
Mulch will be available at the following TRC locations (open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) beginning Thursday, February 23, 2017:
- Eureka Drive – 9401 SW 184 St.
- Moody Drive – 12970 SW 268 St.
- North Dade Landfill – 21500 NW 47 Ave.
- Sunset Kendall – 8000 SW 107 Ave.
- West Little River – 1830 NW 79 St.
- West Perrine – 16651 SW 107 Ave.
