Metromover temporarily closes Omni Loop to relocate utilities

MIAMI (April 28, 2017)

Beginning at 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, and for up to seven days, the Metromover Omni Loop will temporarily be closed while crews work on relocating utilities.

The Metromover Inner and Brickell loops will not be affected and will provide regular service.

Free bus-shuttle service will be provided between all Metromover stations on the Omni Loop during the temporary closure. Buses are scheduled to arrive at approximately every 10 to 15 minutes. A map of where shuttle buses pick-up and drop-off patrons is available at MDT’s Metromover web page.

Miami-Dade Transit apologizes for the inconvenience and encourages Metromover users to plan accordingly. To plan a trip on transit, download the free Miami-Dade Transit Tracker app. Or talk to an agent at 305-891-3131, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For the latest updates on transit services, visit MDT’s website, or follow on social media via Facebook and Twitter. Users can also register to receive Rider Alerts.

Transit riders are also encouraged to download two new apps: EASY Pay and PayByPhone. The EASY Pay app allows anyone to turn their smartphone into a mobile ticket. Visit EASY Pay page for more information. Transit riders now also can pay for parking at Metrorail parking facilities via their mobile devices with the PayByPhone cashless app
