Department of Transportation and Public Works to host SMART Plan East-West Corridor public meetings
The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) is hosting two meetings this week to introduce the public to the East-West Corridor Rapid Transit Project. The East-West Corridor is identified in the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan as a priority corridor for implementation of rapid transit service. The East-West Corridor will run along SR 836/Dolphin Expressway from the Miami Intermodal Center adjacent to the Miami International Airport (MIA) to SW 8 St. at SW 109 Ave. next to Florida International University (FIU).
The public meetings will be held today, June 13 and Thursday, June 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:
Today, June 13, 2017, at Miami Dade Expressway Authority Board Room, located at 3790 NW 21 St., Miami, FL 33142
Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the Florida Department of Transportation Auditorium, located at 1000 NW 111 Ave., Miami, FL 33172
These meetings will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the project, become familiar with the study process, and provide initial feedback. DTPW representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. Visit miamismartplan.com to learn more about the SMART Plan.
