Miami-Dade County partially completes aerial mosquito treatment
Stormy weather prevents aerial spraying of all areas scheduled to be treated
The aerial mosquito control spraying operation scheduled for tonight, Friday, June 16, 2017, has been canceled before all treatment areas could be sprayed as a result of unfavorable weather in the treatment area. Plans to complete mosquito treatment in the areas that were not sprayed will be announced.
County officials urge residents to do their part to fight the bite and limit mosquito breeding by continuing to drain any standing water surrounding their property, applying mosquito repellent when outdoors, and wearing clothing that covers the skin to avoid mosquito bites.
Anyone with questions about the aerial spraying operation or complaints about mosquito nuisance is encouraged to call the County’s Contact Center at 311 or visit www.miamidade.gov/mosquito.
