Village of Bal Harbour under a Precautionary Boil Water Order

MIAMI (August 06, 2017)

Due to a water main break on 96 Street and Bal Bay Drive, and temporary loss of water service, the entire Village of Bal Harbour is under a Precautionary Boil Water Order. Now that water service has been restored, all water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be boiled until further notice prior to consumption. Water should be brought to a full rolling boil for at least one minute. There is no problem with using the water for bathing and other household needs.

The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will be sampling the water. Once all tests are cleared, the boil water restrictions will be lifted.

If you have any questions, please contact the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s Communications Center at 305-274-9272, 24 hours a day.

Crews are currently working on the repairs to the water line.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers.
