Full moon yoga at the Deering Estate

MIAMI (August 15, 2017)

The Full Moon Yoga Series at the Deering Estate provides an opportunity to enjoy the sunset and end of the day, while welcoming the full moon at one of the most beautiful settings in Palmetto Bay. Each session will host a guest and special theme to make for a unique experience.
Session 6: Wednesday, September 6, 2017, 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
"Vinyasa Yoga: Flowing around the Moon" with Carlos Bello

Catch and release the energy from the Moon into your surroundings to enjoy the reflective and soothing characteristics of "La Luna." Chandra Namaskar, the alternative to Surya Namaskar, is an especially nice way to form a stronger connection to movement and awareness as the students use their orientation to rotate around the mat. This practice brings deep awareness to the breath by synchronizing movement with each inhalation and exhalation.

Carlos, originally from Caracas-Venezuela, has dedicated himself to the study and practice of Yoga since 2002. Trained in the discipline of Sivananda, Carlos infuses his passion for yoga into each posture, placing emphasis on the breath. Using gentle encouraging cues throughout the practice and blending elements of different styles to develop a dynamic alignment-based flow that is suitable for beginners but also strong enough for all levels.

The cost is $15 per session. Recommended for beginning and intermediate participants, ages 16 & older. Register online or call the Deering Estate Ticket Office at 305-235-1668 ext. 233.
