All residents are advised to remain calm and to stay tuned to radio and television broadcasts, as well as the official social media channels for Miami-Dade County for further advisories. As a reminder, shelters are to be a last resort. Those residents who are evacuating should first try to arrange to stay in the homes of friends or family who live outside of evacuation areas.
All residents not located in an evacuation area should complete actions to protect their homes and seek safe shelter.
Miami-Dade County residents needing weather and storm information should monitor radio and television stations. Residents may access official Miami-Dade County emergency information at www.miamidade.gov/emergency, call the 311 Contact Center or follow us @MiamiDadeCounty on Twitter and Facebook.
