South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center kicks off the 2017-2018 season with the annual free Backyard Bash outdoor concert on October 14
South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center kicks off the season on Friday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. with a free outdoor music concert. Tickets are free but you must have a ticket to get in. SMDCAC is located at 10950 SW 211 Street in Cutler Bay. For tickets the public should call 786-573-5300 or visit www.smdcac.org.
Kick off the Center’s 2017-2018 season with the return of our popular Backyard Bash on the Concert Lawn. Enjoy live music by Roosevelt Collier's Phunk Phactory, The Lee Boys, DJ Trooklyn and other artists as well as craft beers and eats! Between the music explore the Center’s many performance spaces, meet our staff, look through our season schedule, and secure seats for your favorite upcoming shows!
Guest artists include (subject to change): Anthony Cole (Doyle Bramhall ll), Matt Lapham (Shak-Nasti), Alvin Lee (The Leeboys), Chad Watkins, DWayne Bennett, David "Lil Dave" Chiverton, Jason Matthews, Johnny Walker, Tamika J, Sista MaryBeth, Sam Savage, Jean Caze, Sonny East, Roland Simmons, Aaron Lebos.
Beer package available for purchase - $25 beer package (per person) in advance; $30 day of the concert. Beer package includes eight (8) 10-ounce beers. Those not purchasing a beer package can still buy individual beer tickets for $4 each.
Patrons can enjoy craft beer from: Lagunitas, MIA Brewing Company, Wynwood Brewing Company, Biscayne Bay Brewing Company and Concrete Beach. Tasty bites will be available from Ms. Cheezious, Coldstone, Vibe305, Shotgun Joes and Kona Ice. Subject to change.
The concert is appropriate for all ages. Food and drinks are available for purchase. The public can bring lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers are not permitted. Space is limited. All patrons entering the theater require a ticket regardless of age, including children and infants.
The South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center is managed by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, with funding support from the Office of the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners. The Center is dedicated to presenting and supporting arts and culture and providing access to the arts to the entire Miami-Dade County community.
