Register today for 4th annual faith-based organizations domestic violence and human trafficking awareness day

MIAMI (October 06, 2017)

Join Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) on Friday, October 27th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a free two-hour educational workshop and community dialogue, conducted simultaneously in English, Spanish and Creole, on domestic violence and human trafficking.

In commemoration of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, workshops, led by experts in the fields of domestic violence and human trafficking, will be geared towards raising awareness and increasing coordination of services for victims in Miami-Dade County. “Faith-based organizations and churches play an extremely important role in combatting domestic violence and human trafficking, and are important to eliminating both forms of violence in our community,” explains CAHSD Director, Lucia Davis-Raiford.
