The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department invites student artists to enter the 10th Annual Every Drop Counts Poster Contest
The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) wants County students to Be Water Wise-it Affects Our Lives! That’s the theme for the department’s 10th annual Every Drop Counts Poster Contest.
All Miami-Dade County elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade are encouraged to submit an entry that illustrates the importance of conserving water. Each participant will receive a free T-shirt and a chance to win other great prizes and to be recognized by the Board of County Commissioners!
One winning entry will be selected from each of the 13 Miami-Dade County Commission Districts. The top posters will be awarded prizes and featured in the 2019 Every Drop Counts Water Conservation calendar and be displayed in the lobby of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center.
Each year, the Every Drop Counts Kids Poster Contest showcases the creative talents of several thousand local students. The contest is one of the measures of Miami-Dade's Water-Use Efficiency Plan public outreach program, which features D-Rop, the Miami-Dade water conservation mascot.
The deadline to submit a poster is Friday, February 2, 2018. For more information about the contest or to download the application, visit the conservation website.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit the department’s website.
