Holiday Season of Events at the Deering Estate

MIAMI (November 14, 2017)

The Deering Estate celebrates the holidays with an exciting line-up of events for the entire family to enjoy.  Guests can also visit the new Seasonal Holiday Gift Shop, operated by Alorè Event Firm, located in the South Parlor of the Richmond Cottage (first floor). The Gift Shop is open Thursdays – Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and during holiday events. The full lineup of events is as follows:

  • "Festival of Trees" Season Kick-off
    Friday, December 1, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
    $12 for adults and $7 for children (ages 4-14); Free for Deering Estate Foundation members.
    Enjoy the "Festival of Trees" holiday decorations and enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and the sounds of the Yuletide Carolers! Children can also make holiday crafts and write letters to Santa.
  • Mistletoe & Martinis
    Friday, December 8, 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
    $100 Non Member General Admission; $75 Member General Admission
    Enjoy a joyful evening of holiday cheer to benefit the Deering Estate Foundation! Join us and stroll through the rooms of the Deering Estate's historic houses festively decorated in the spirit of the holidays.
  • Story Time & Photos with Santa
    Saturday, December 9 and 16, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    General admission: $12 for adults and $7 for children (ages 4-14); Free for Deering Estate Foundation members.
    Santa Claus is coming to town and he's visiting the Estate! Enjoy story-time with Santa's elves throughout the historic houses and photos with Santa (for an additional fee) inside the historic Stone House Ballroom. Children can also participate in holiday arts & crafts activities. Holiday photo packages are available starting at $10 (cash only).
  • Alorè Workshop: Holiday Wreath
    Sunday, December 10, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
    $55 per person
    Join us for a very merry Sunday filled with cheer and learn how to make a Holiday Wreath. All guests will recieve a goodie bag, beverages from The Gift Shop at the Deering Estate and professional photos will be taken.
  • "Festival of Trees" Evening Stroll
    Wednesday, December 13, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
    $7 ages 4 and older; Free for Deering Estate Foundation members.
    Enjoy signature holiday decorating collaborations, an expanded museum furnishing collection, and beautiful nighttime views of Biscayne Bay as holiday music plays in the background. Please note that this event is limited in capacity; Advance ticket sales are limited.
  • Holiday Champagne Bay Cruise
    Sunday, December 17, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    $45 per person
    Take a break from holiday shopping and enjoy a relaxing cruise on Biscayne Bay while sipping champagne.
  • "Festival of Trees" Exhibit
    Daily, November 29 - January 5, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    General admission: $12 for adults and $7 for children (ages 4-14); Free for Deering Estate Foundation members.
    Tour the elegant and historic houses at the Deering Estate as they come alive with holiday accents and decorations. The Festival of Trees Exhibit is an annual tradition and a special project of local garden clubs and community organizations.
