Miami-Dade County to host seminar on strengthening Sister City relationships on Dec. 1

MIAMI (November 28, 2017)

The Miami-Dade County International Trade Consortium (ITC) will host a seminar on improving and strengthening Sister City relationships at 9 a.m. Friday, December 1, at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center.

The morning-long seminar will feature an introduction to the Sister Cities program’s goals, objectives and best practices, and will contain practical information that cities can use to build their global network. Participants will also learn the dos and don’ts of protocol, the official system of rules governing affairs of international occasions.

Spanish Consul General of Miami Candido Creis, will provide keynote remarks on protocol. He is the former Deputy Director for the Department of Protocol for His Majesty the King of Spain. Commissioner Jose "Pepe" Diaz, Chair of the ITC, will welcome participants and serve as event host.
Representatives from the cities of Miami, Coral Gables, Doral and Miami Beach are expected to attend.
