Southbound lanes closed on Southwest 112 Avenue for six weeks
Construction to accommodate the installation of a new 54-inch sewer line will affect traffic in South Dade for approximately six weeks beginning today.
The two southbound lanes of Southwest 112th Avenue from the Turnpike to Southwest 268th Street will be closed for the duration of the construction. Traffic will be rerouted to use one of the northbound lanes during this period. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Drivers may want to avoid the area until the project is completed.
This project is part of the department’s Consent Decree, a program that provide necessary upgrades to the water and sewer infrastructure to continue providing high quality services, protecting public health, and the environment.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit the department’s website.
